Welcome to Grenada
Grenada, known as the Spice Island of the Caribbean, requires all international travelers to complete an electronic ED Card before arrival. This digital arrival card collects essential personal, travel, and health information to facilitate immigration processing at Maurice Bishop International Airport. The ED Card must be submitted online within 72 hours before your arrival. It is a mandatory formality separate from any visa requirements. Grenada welcomes visitors for tourism, business, transit, and family visits.
One card, two functions
A single declaration for immigration AND customs in Grenada
Small in size, the Spice Isle has unified its arrival formalities into a single digital form. A welcome simplicity in Caribbean administrative complexity.
Before 2023, arrival at Maurice Bishop International Airport (GND) required two separate slips: an Immigration Card and a separate Customs Declaration. With the Online Immigration & Customs Declaration, both procedures are now merged into one digital submission.
The combined form covers classic immigration items (passport, accommodation, purpose) but also includes a declaration of carried goods: alcohol over the duty-free allowance, sports equipment, drones, cash above EC$10,000. Everything goes through the same official portal.
For visa-exempt nationalities (France, Belgium, Switzerland, Canada, UK), no other procedure is required. The combined declaration is the only digital document to present on arrival in Saint George's.
What about cruise stops?
Cruise passengers disembarking at Saint George's for the day are covered by their cruise line's group declarations. No individual procedure is required as long as they return on board that evening.

Sailing and yachting
Yachts and sailboats: Grenada's arrival declaration nautical side
Grenada is one of the southern Caribbean's major nautical hubs, with Prickly Bay and St. David's Harbour. The arrival declaration also applies to maritime travellers, with a few specifics.
Captain declares crew and passengers: a single Online Immigration & Customs Declaration is filed but includes a dedicated section listing all occupants. Every person on board must appear with their passport number.
Entry port must be official: Prickly Bay, St. George's, or Carriacou. Any arrival at another anchorage must be announced via VHF to authorities. A declaration without an official entry port is invalid.
Cruising permit fees are separate from the arrival declaration — count EC$75 (~€28) per week for sailboats under 40 feet. These fees are paid in person at Customs and Excise on arrival.
